| The SupaWall System |
|
The SupaWall System® can be used with any form of interior and exterior cladding, making it very flexible in terms of architecture, design and usage. With factory fitted windows and doors, a bungalow in Dundee was recently erected so that it was wind and watertight in under two hours. Based on conventional proven timber frame technology, it has the many off-site construction advantages.
SupaWall® is designed to retain the heat within a dwelling so effectively that it negates the need for traditional central heating.Needing heating only at entry/exit points, for tower rails and large areas of glazing, meaning the costs associated with the installation and maintenance of central heating can be removed from the total life cost. Experience in hot countries has shown that SupaWall® reduces air conditioning usage particularly when combined with automatic solar shading.
The SupaWall® System uses a patented interlocking system that gives the building incredible strength, reduces air infiltration and makes erection quick and simple. Buildings constructed using SupaWall® are less dependent on the site assembly build quality to achieve good air permeability properties because the design of the SupaWall® System means air gaps are minimised. The SupaWall® System is not restricted to new-build but can also help refurbishment projects to meet the increasingly stringent requirements of the Building Regulations. Panels can be used as infill in high-rise steel structures; or in buildings with listed facades (giving all the benefits of SupaWall® while retaining the aesthetics of the original design). The SupaWall® System is the first step in SupaWall Limited's goal of creating truly sustainable, zero carbon emission homes with minimum reliance on diminishing and expensive non-renewable resources. With good design, flexibility, and innovation, it is possible to create homes and buildings that are desirable as well as environmentally sound.
